General Business

The General Business Department is responsible for teaching the general business courses required of all LeBow undergraduate students. These courses include Foundations of Business I and II and Business Consulting. Students can enhance their business major with courses in social entrepreneurship, decision making, leadership and more. The result is the most popular undergraduate major in the College, and each one is unique.

Students who wish to take courses that differ from the general education courses indicated above must complete a course substitution request form. To access the form, login to the MyCCP portal, and in the Student tab, under Electronic Forms, click on the Records and Registration Forms link, then choose Request For Course Substitution Of Graduation Requirement link. A more detailed explanation of the College's general education requirements is also available. Who Hires Our Undergraduates?

Possess a minimum GPA of 2.0 for all major courses, calculated using all attempted GPA hours unless excluded by the D/F repeat policy. 9 Total Hours31-37 Please note that not all of the GEF courses are offered at all campuses. Students should consult with their advisor or academic department regarding the GEF course offerings available at their campus. Students filepapa who are not direct admitted to the major (i.e. Business) will declare the major at the beginning of the semester in which they satisfy the course prerequisites listed below. Explores the relationship of law, government and ethics to business enterprise. Provides overview of legal and ethical issues relevant to business decision-making and planning and the government regulations of business. Graduates will be able to use computer and information technology in solving problems and perform functions commonly seen in managing businesses and other organizations. Northeastern Illinois University is home to students from all corners of the world and is one of the most ethnically diverse universities in the nation.

The CAGLE Center is the main hub of study abroad opportunities in Spears Business. Through courses that can count towards degree requirements students can spend 1-3 weeks immersing themselves in a foreign country and meeting professionals from different business industries. The CAGLE Center offers approximately 20+ trips yearly for students to explore the world. Drexel LeBow’s general business program provides a broad business education that introduces students to the primary functional areas of business.
